Rooftops ending walkthrough
Take the keycard to the kitchen door, buy the crowbar from the frozen chef for 100 Rolls, pry the freezer vent and climb to the roof — then keep running for the red helicopter.

What the rooftops ending needs
Two purchases, 300 Rolls total: the Illegal Keycard (200) and the Crowbar (100). Like the janitor route, the cost is really the grind — the escape itself is a straight line once your pockets are full.
| Item | Price | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Illegal Keycard | 200 Rolls | Rotating stock of the trade inmates — check every morning |
| Crowbar | 100 Rolls | The frozen chef inside the kitchen freezer |
If the keycard is not in any stall when you are ready, keep checking daily — the sellers restock each morning. Buy the crowbar second; it is sold deeper inside the prison, and only after the kitchen is open.
Step by step
- Open the kitchen. The kitchen door sits on the left side of the cafeteria. Equip the keycard and unlock it.
- Walk to the back and open the freezer. Inside is the frozen chef — buy the Crowbar for 100 Rolls.
- Pry the vent. The freezer's vent is sealed with wooden planks. Use the crowbar to break them and crawl in.
- Follow the vent to the end, then take the ramps up. The route climbs toward the rooftop door.
- Open the rooftop door. A cutscene plays — the guard drops into the stairwell behind you — and the chase begins.
- Run. Jump between the roof sections, do not stop, and do not look back. Reaching the red helicopter ends the run in escape.
The clear pays 15 Diamonds and the Rooftops Escape badge, plus a completion screen with your time stamped on it.
The rooftop run, plainly
The chase is parkour, not stealth: a straight line of jumps across the roof while the guard tails you. Three things save runs here:
- Keep moving forward. The guard closes in during hesitation, not during travel.
- Aim jumps early. Most failures are clipped ledges, not the guard.
- Remember the helicopter is the goal, not a wall. Get in; do not circle it.
What makes this one different
The janitor route and the rooftops route share a keycard but split at the cafeteria: vents-and-batteries to the left, kitchen-and-helicopter to the right. The rooftop clear is the rarest of the three — roughly one clear for every 25 mineshaft escapes — mostly because it is the most expensive: 300 Rolls is a long grind, and the chase punishes hesitation harder than the mineshaft tunnel does.
Despite that, many players rate it the best-looking run in the game: the climb out of the vents, the sky opening up, and the red helicopter waiting on the pad. If you are farming Diamonds, the janitor route is faster; if you want the exit everybody screenshots, this is it.
After the clear
- Spend the 15 Diamonds in the lobby — a class makes the next grind shorter.
- The badge goes on your profile next to the other endings you own.
- The route is repeatable immediately: the sellers restock, the floor resets, and the kitchen does not remember you.
